Abkhazia became a ConIFA World Football Cup winner in 2016!
June 5 at the stadium “Dynamo” in Sukhum was the final match of the World Cup ConIFA 2016!
Abkhazia and Punjab teams fought up for first place. The game was very tense. The opponents could score one goal in the gates of each other. The outcome of the match decided the penalty spot. Abkhazia team won with a score 6:5.
The second place was the team of the Punjab, 3 - North Cyprus, and 4- the team of Padania-which is a current champion of Euro 2015 ConIFA.
Despite the fact that throughout the Championship all football experts predicted the victory of the team of North Cyprus and Punjab, the team of Abkhazia became the new champion!
Team of Abkhazia consist: team captain- Anri Khagush, 4 trainers Beslan Gubliya, Bagrat Akhba, Beslan Ajinjal, main coach Juma Kvaratskhelia and 23 footballers.
