Rail service operates between Sukhum and Moscow. Sukhum has the trolleybus system which first opened January 3, 1968. Currently, there are 25 trolley buses that surve three routes. Sukhum trolley bus system is one of the few in the former Soviet Union with a fully renewed rolling stock. Fare - 5 rubles. Trolley buses operate from 6:30 AM to 20:30PM.

City bus routes operates in Sukhum and Gagra . The network of marshrutkas is very developed. City fare - 15 rubles. The cost of long-distance transport depends on the route.
